The first improvement is the graphics which are more 'rounded' and less blockier then the first game. This version is also in wide-screen by default and the mouse response is a lot better, meaning that you can control the planes flight with more accuracy.
Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the first game indeed I have it on my ipod and tablet not purchased two just one and it 'up-scales' itself : , but for the PC I think this version lends itself better to the 'bigger screen'.
If you want a bit of light-hearted, stress-free, then I would heartedly recommend this game, as the graphics are quirky, 'planes with personality' and whilst there is not much of a storyline but then this is a TM and how many TM have a really gripping storyline , the game is one that you can play over and over, if only to try and perfect a 'supreme score' on all levels.
I would heartedly recommend this game to young and old alike and whilst it may have been out a while the graphics are still solid and hold up well even in today's market. I love the sound the planes make when they are waiting to load, unload or when they are gassing up Rated 5 out of 5 by LadyoftheIvy from Another cute game, much like the first My children and I greatly enjoyed the first Airport Mania, so I clearly had to buy this one as well. It's just as cute as the first one, with the planes still having their fun faces, noises, and reactions.
The graphics have improved a bit from the first one which I would expect , and the sounds are appropriate for the game as well. The gameplay is pretty similar to the first game, with only a few new additions. It has some of the same neat extras clicking on things in the background for comments and so forth, for instance , though they have also been expanded a bit. The biggest difference is that the locales are a bit more exotic, and there are some new additions in terms of planes.
The similarity to the first game may be a negative for some, but I liked the fact that it was pretty similar. If you enjoyed the first game and wished that you had more of it, you'll definitely want to get this one. Start off at a normal pace learning to land, service and take off various size fun planes.
Colorful, creative environments kept me playing and replaying this truly fun and light-hearted game! I gave five stars for Level of Challenge because I actually could go back and finish each level with a perfect score!

In addition to the most basic instructions you give to a plane of landing, unloading and loading passengers, and taking off, there are other things you can do, such as painting planes, giving them a thorough wash they are so cute when they are being washed!
The game gets harder as it progresses, but at a rate that an adult will still be able to finish easily enough. A young child will be very amused with the individual characters of each type of plane and the songs they hum, but may find the later levels a bit too much to manage. Graphics are a lot better on this one and there are many cute features they've added. Take control of the control tower at the local airport and keep the planes on schedule in this high-flying Time Management game.

You play this game as the air traffic controller, directing planes from the air to their gates, then back into the air again, with other various things to do such as repairing them, painting them, and refueling.

I loved this game just as much as the second one as I started playing that one before this first version. The humming and chippering of the airplanes always bring a smile to my face. I enjoyed managing the airport by landing, taking off and servicing the planes with progressively more difficult levels. To earn awards within each level, the goals is to have all planes arrive and depart early, have at least 4 planes of a specific color at a gate, and be able to take care of other things that may come up such as an organ transplant, the President's jet, a woman in labor, and keep hot air balloons, sailboats, and blimps on the screen.
